A couple of weeks ago on January 14th over 800 miles away from home at St, Louis, MO, the Lady Wildcats of Westbury Christian school honors Mrs. Marie Gage and took a moment of silence before their game and sends their love and prayers for Gage & Glenn's family. Each girl placed the initial MG on their left chest closest to their heart in remembrance of a great lady, family and supporter of Westbury Christian Wildcats.

Pasadena Dobie's Un-Signed 2012 Still Out For Grab...

Known this girl from grade school as little Jaz, but she's BIG in basketball. Jazmine Guerrero one of Pasadena Dobie's top scorer is still out for grab. Great guard skills and mindset. Concordia Lady Crusaders Came A Bit Short...

Lady Crusaders visited Westbury Christian in attempt to claim the top team position in TAPPS 4A District 4 but came up a bit short. Crusaders is a solid contender for the district that has a lot of potential to be a great team. They held Westbury Christian to 47 points which is 2nd to the 46 points Lady Wildcats lowest scoring game against Pope John Paul XXIII. The Lady Crusaders made a run in the 3rd quarter closing the gap to a single digit while the Lady Wildcats scoring only 6 points in the quarter. Katelyn Holland the top scorer averaging about 17 points a game for Concordia tabs 23 buckets a point shy to Lady Wildcats Tiffany Davis 24 points leading Westbury Christian. The wildcats handing the Lady Crusaders their first loss in the district 47-34. Concordia will now face Second Baptist lady eagles in contention for the district runner up position January 27th at home. It will be another showdown waiting to happen!

Texas takes on the challenges at Springfield and St. Louis, MO!

Westbury Christian guards Hannah Cambel #12 and Juliana Rosolino #10 double up on Incarnate Word 6'5" forward/center Taylor Manuel

While the Westbury Christians Wildcats boys dominated the Bass Pro Tournament of Champions @ Springfield, the Lady Wildcats on the other hand came home with two defeats from two powerhouse teams Potters House Christian from Jacksonville Florida and Incarnate Word Academy of St Louis MO. Undermanned and undersized the Lady Wildcats showed sparks of greatness to the last seconds of both games playing hard and not giving up. Westbury Christian still considered a young team with only 3 seniors in their roster showed a lot of poise. The losses endured will just make the Lady Wildcats resilient in their last upcoming 6 district games left for the season in preparation for the state tournament title. They face Emery Weiner at their home court January 17th game tips off at 6:00PM. The Lady Wildcats undefeated at home and holds a 3-0 district record.

Bass Pro Tournament of Champions: Westbury Christian wins T of C title over Lincoln, 69-61

Rose scored 14 points and dished out nine assists Saturday, and was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player. His name will now be added to a prestigious MVP list with names like Alonzo Mourning, Anthony Peeler, Lamar Odom, Wayne Simien and many more.

The Lady Wildcats will play Potter's House Christian from Florida tonight at 7 PM then St. Louis Incarnate Word Academy 11:45 AM, Monday January 16th.

Kinkaid Girls High School JV Tournament January 20-21

The tournament feature teams junior varsity teams from Kinkaid, Satch, St John's, Episcopal, Lake Houston, HCYA, Houston Westbury and Village School. Friday January 20th scheduled games are:

4:30 PM - Kinkaid vs. SATCH and St. John vs. Episcopal
6:00 PM - Lake Houston vs. HCYA and Westbury vs. Village School

Westbury Christian Suffered A Heart Breaking Loss To Plano Prestonwood Christian At Home 60-62

Westbury Christian was in a full house capacity on a Saturday afternoon while the Houston Texans are on a heated playoff game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Across 610 down southwest of Braeswood Boulevard a basketball game tipped off between the Westbury Christian Wildcats and the Plano Prestonwood Christian. It was a game that every basketball fanatics came to watch. Two teams battled it out to the last seconds of the game. It was close from start to finish with a lot of lead changes thru the end. It came down to the last final seconds of the game when the lions pulled it off from a 3 point shot by senior Claude Person that came from a loose ball. The wildcats though undersized still matched up pretty well against the bigger lions. The game could have gone either way, but it was the lions day to triumph a must win game away from their home. The Wildcats are headed to the Bass Pro Tournament of Champions in Springfield, MO. this weekend.

Westbury Christian Dominate @ Home Against Lutheran South

Both boys and girls wildcats stays undefeated at home giving the home crowd so much to cheer for. The wildcats has 5 players in double figures with Dickerson leading with 17 followed by Minnifield with 13, Rose and Freeman with 11 each, Turk with 10 buckets. While the Lady Wildcats have 8 girls on the board which shows great team effort. Leading the board Imani Smith with 18, Rosolino 13 and Ondrusek with 10. Lutheran South boys led by Ben Wallace with 13 and Ryan Dundee tabbing 10 points.

Westbury Christian School Lady Wildcats Don't Miss A Beat...



Coming off a win over Second Baptist in their first district game, the Lady Wildcats will host Lutheran South today at Westbury Christian school. Game scheduled to tip off at 6 PM. Lutheran South record 10-2 currently the top team in the TAPPS 4A district 4 league standings against Westbury Christian's 11-7 listed as 3rd below Fort Bend Christian with 20-7 wins. The Pioneers on a 3 winning streak will challenge the Lady Wildcats at their home court.


Lady Wildcats has it's seasons ups and downs this year, but Coach Bailey believes that he had enough talents to win and defend the district and state title. It's just a matter of players learning each others role. More on Houston Chronicle HERE

Lady Mavs of Manvel Going Strong Tops La Porte

Lady Mavericks ranked 9th in the state with a current record of 21-2 went 4-0 on a mission to capture the title of the 25th Annual Alvin Noon Lions Holiday Basketball Classic beating La Porte 56-39. Brianna Turner, Jordan Hosey and Ashlin Arnold are three Lady Mavs' named on the all-Tournament team. More HERE

Texas A&M Signee Point Guard Curtyce Knox The Come Back Kid

Coming back from a knee surgery, Knox is still knocking shots for Atascosita lady eagles in her last year of playing high school basketball headed to the Big 12 to play for Coach Gary Blair of Texas A&M next year. Her goal is this season is to take the Lady Eagles as far as Austin for the state title.

6-2 Senior Courtney Williams headed to Texas A&M next year, but still looking to grasp the state title this year for the North Shore Lady Mustangs. Long and can play all positions will give a tough match up to any defender. She's determined and a more mature player this year and still getting better every game.
