Tyler and Taylor Gilbert will not be denied by Bellaire. The Fort Bend hurricanes twin towers both in double figures 21 and 17 points respectively with Jasmine Brewer adding 12 more points just enough to end the lady cardinal’s conquest to Austin Texas. It was a great journey for Bellaire getting as far as they did, but the young cardinals will be back next year and who knows how far the TRIO will take them. AJ Alix scored 40 points and both Raven Burns and Bianca Winslow added 12 points each but still ended up short for the cardinals to pull it off this time. In region II Cy Fair is going for the fourth time in a row this year to try and get another state title after beating Bryan in a close game 54-50 at Waco.
